Wakefield Agency creates video stories that speak to the heart, for companies making a difference.

After years of maturing as a video production company, Wakefield invited us to help them rebrand into a corporate agency. At the same time they wanted to launch a separate leg of their business to house their work in film. The challenge was to create two brands that felt related yet distinct; the first with an elegant, artful tone and the second like its whimsical sidekick.

The corporate branding feels simple and intruiging, using beautiful typography and bold colour. It allows their portfolio to shine by showcasing large blocks of images from their work. A logomark was created of a rising sun, representing Wakefield’s desire to awaken audiences to the passion and purpose behind their clients’ business.

Part II: Wakefield Pictures

A colourful, whimsical sub-brand for Wakefield’s film suite.

Wakefield Pictures houses the same team’s film portfolio, including pieces that have participated in international film festivals. The branding conveys their fun, skillful, and personal approach to film-making through the use of colour and layered elements that create dimension.
